I got my first computer in 1982 because it was cheaper than a word processor. I soon discovered that I get along pretty well with the little beasts; so well in fact that I went on to earn a computer degree at Sam Houston State University. From there I became a computer tech for a bank for twelve years, then graduated to business owner. Through all my computer experiences I’ve enjoyed sharing my knowledge, whether or not it was part of the job description. So now I teach as a volunteer in the Academy for Lifelong Learning at Lone Star College.
When teaching a class I like to introduce myself with, “I know everything there is to know about computers. —long pause— And I’ve got a bridge to sell you.” The computer field had grown so quickly that no one could ever know everything. That’s more true than ever before. So on these pages you won’t find all the answers, but why not prove that YOU CAN DO IT? Read my blog and see for yourself.
